Passionate about dentures, Martin has been a dental technician and subsequently a Clinical Dental Technician for over 30 years. He has undertaken rigorous clinical courses of further education specialising in the provision of dentures.

His interests outside of work are his vintage motorbikes. He has recently completed a rebuild of a 1953 Sunbeam S7 and the next project is a 1960 Norton Dominator currently in pieces.

Jan Ellis
Operations Director

Married to Martin, Jan has been involved with the day to day running of the Denture Care Centre since its inception. With the increase of paperwork and regulations over the last few years she has been very pleased to pass much of the load to Karen and Claire and is now primarily responsible for accounts management.

Outside of work Jan is a keen gardener and likes knitting and crocheting. She also enjoys reading and listening to unabridged audio books and has been known to multi-task by knitting whilst listening to a book!

Leigh Deadman
Dentist (BDS, LDS RCS) GDC number 70335

Leigh has been a dentist for 20 years having qualified at Guys Hospital. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly aesthetic improvements. He has 2 young children and when not at home Leigh can often be found riding his bike along the Surrey and Sussex lanes.

Haslin Saleh
Dental Nurse GDC number 188643

Haslin has been a dental nurse since 2007 and became fully qualified in 2009. A proud Singaporean, her first career was as an air hostess with Singapore Airlines. Having married and settled in the UK, she had a career break to raise her daughter before deciding to retrain for a second career where she chose dentistry for its technical challenges and because it requires similarly high customer service standards. Further training has given Haslin the opportunity to work in both NHS and private practices specialising in endodontics, sedation and implants.

Her hobbies are going to the gym, playing tennis and golf, cooking and eating cake and chocolate.

Karen Ellis
Practice Manager

Karen is responsible for the day to day running of the practice. She ensures we deliver the best service possible, in the safest way, to meet the needs of our patients. She ensures the practice is compliant with clinical, health and safety legislation and is also our Information Governance and Data Protection Lead and Complaints Manager.

Due to her hard work and attention to detail, the Denture Care Centre secured registration with the Care Quality Commission and a successful inspection by them.

Outside of work (and during her lunch break), Karen is a keen knitter as well as sewing and crochet. She loves everything vintage and can be often seen driving around in her lovely green Nissan Figaro, Tallulah.

Claire Thorpe
Administration Manager

In addition to managing the reception and appointment system, Claire is also responsible for making sure required documentation is available and that the practice remains well stocked.

Claire has had a long association with horses both as an owner and a supporter of her daughter who was a keen polo player. She has been a long-time volunteer for the Pony Club organising polo for the children, attending the games and often driving the horsebox all over the country to deliver the ponies. With two daughters as well she comes to work for a rest!

Peggy Clarke

Peggy has been a dental receptionist for many years and is well liked by our patients. She is your first point of contact at our practice and will assist you in booking appointments and answering any queries you may have.

Outside work Peggy is an avid gardener and has won many awards for this.
